LUDLOW BARN
Ludlow Barn, the larger of the two properties sleeps 8/9. Our bespoke interior design is stylish and relaxed throughout and the spacious open plan living with cosy log burner makes it so welcoming, in all weathers. The sociable and high-spec kitchen has everything you’ll need to create a fabulous feast. Our large, round table can sit 12 for your special dinners together.
Ludlow Barn has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Upstairs is the Master Suite, with a beautiful exposed brick wall and an ensuite with en suite roll top bath and shower. At the other end of the barn is another Super King room with a door going onto a little balcony with steps down to the garden. A delightful children’s room with a bunk and single bed is just down the landing and these two rooms share a family bathroom. Downstairs there is another Super King bedroom and separate downstairs shower room. For added flexibility, one upstairs and one downstairs room can also be set up as twins.
Hay Loft
Known as the master-suite, this is an exceptional suite with a Super King bed, en-suite bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower.
Dovecote
A lovely spacious bedroom with a Super King bed and balcony door that opens out to steps leading down to the back garden. This room is right next door to a shared bathroom with bath and shower over. This Super King bed can be turned into a twin beds.
Cart Shed
A gorgeous bedroom on the ground floor with a Super King bed, next door is the ground floor bathroom with walk in shower with rainforest shower head. This Super King bed can be turned into a twin beds. Suitable for disability access.
Ducklings
A very sweet children’s room with a bunk bed and additional single bed. This rooms hosts a dolls house and a wide range of children’s story books. This bedroom is next door to the shared bathroom with bath and shower.
TENBURY COTTAGE
Tenbury Cottage sleeps 4 and is attached to Ludlow Barn yet private from the larger property should you want to hire it separately. Open plan living is stylish and cosy with a log burning stove, a sofa and elegant armchairs adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen. There is no internal door between Ludlow Barn and Tenbury Cottage but they are easily accessible to each other through the back stable door, just a couple of steps between each other.
Upstairs, past the mezzanine with rocking chair and children’s old school desk is a cosy super king bedroom with shower en suite and downstairs is another super king bedroom, with bathroom next door. Both rooms in this cottage can be made up with twins beds.
Bat Loft
Upstairs, this room is painted a beautiful moody deep blue making it so tempting for long lazy lie ins. It feels a little regal in here. The en-suite is a lovely spacious rainforest shower. Outside on the mezzanine is a little area for children to sit and drawer at the old school desk or play with toys.
Cowshed
On the ground floor, this room is bright and spacious with views onto the stable bar and countryside beyond. You feel like you’re in a film set looking out from this room. Next door is a bathroom with bath and shower over. If you bring children with you, we recommend the Bat Loft for parents and the Cowshed for the children as it has a practical wooden floor.
STABLE BAR
Host to Nigella Lawson’s Christmas Special 2017
We are very proud of our Stable Bar, she’s completely unique. Our guests say time and time again, there is no where else like this. Dating back to the Victorian era, we’ve kept as much of the stable in tact as possible, restoring it just enough for you to make the most of feeling like you’ve gone back in time. A central chandelier and fairy lights are your only lighting and we have a wood fired stove for ambience. There are still some holes in the bar walls so warm coats are required in the depths of winter. But this makes it all the more authentic. We’ve even sat and enjoyed the bar by the fire with snow on the floor! Every year we welcome the nesting swallows who are so beautiful to watch. We love hearing our guests laugh into the night or share stories by the fireplace. We now have a piano in the bar as well for those more capable musicians! Nigella felt the Stable Bar was good enough to film her Christmas Special too. From enjoying a pint by the fire to a full candle lit dinner - there is so much magic that happens here. We hope you feel it too.
